To become a vet medicine, it may take 5 years or up to 10 years in MALAYSIA. In Malaysia, there is no private university who have the course of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Therefore, I have worked so hard until now for me to become a vet in the future. I'm now studying in University Putra Malaysia Kampus Bintulu, Sarawak. I take up Diploma in Animal Health and Poultry Production which consists of 7 semester.
All of you who read my blog want to be vets. It’s not an easy career path and it’s definitely not easy to get into veterinary school. To someone who want to become a vet, I just want to say. Don’t Give Up! A lot of people don’t get in the first time , second time or even third time. But university remember if you’ve applied multiple times. A lot of people have been asking what my SPM result so they can get an idea of their chances. To be honest I am definitely not the ideal candidate . I had 8As out of 10 subjects . I experienced in small animal clinics just want to keep a good relationship with the animals.
World of animal is so complicated and can be divided into few families. As a student of Diploma in Animal Health, we need to have basic knowledge towards cat, dog and etc. Animals are not like human, they can't express their words to vet. So, to become a vet, I need to find the symptoms of sickness, so that I can provide the best treatment to the animals.
I wish that one day I can become member of VET's FAMILY!!!
